Holly here - I took Daniel to church for the first time this morning and he was an angel! He slept through almost the entire service and I only left a little early to change him and feed him. Perhaps he felt at peace b/c he knows like we do that God planned for him to be part of our family.
He also finally met Pastor Stephen and Paula who are very special to all of us b/c they told us about Gladney! Daniel looks forward to meeting their son, Philip, very soon. Everyone at church loved Daniel! Then we stayed at church for a Bridal Shower for Pastor Becca (Daniel was the only male allowed). He was great meeting all the church ladies and slept a lot. We did not hear a peep out of him the whole 2.5 hours and all the ladies (and Mommy) were impressed.
Right before the Bridal Shower Daniel actually discovered his thumb! We have been trying to only stick with the binky, but I am not sure that is going to work now?????? He has been putting his whole fist and his fingers in his mouth for a while now, but has not been focused on his thumb. When I had the binky out around noon, I caught him with his thumb in his mouth! We will see who wins out the binky or the thumb.
