Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes

this is Daniel's look when he is doing something he should not be doing!


Daniel and I had fun singing Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes!!!!! He is so happy when he is wrestling with Mommy and Daddy and playing with his toys in the basement.

Believe it or not he said Baltimore today! Michael is teaching him about the Baltimore Ravens and he has a plate with Ravens on it. So he says Baltimore!!! WOW.

Daniel Meets Hayden

Daniel finally met his cousin, Hayden, today! He was not sure what to make of the new baby at first, but then he was fascinated. Hayden was sleeping peacefully most of the time we were at Nana and Grandpa's. He is such a sweet baby. When he did get up and cried a little bit, Daniel was very concerned and wanted to find out what was going on with Aunt Valerie, Uncle Eric and Hayden in the other room. We know that Daniel and Hayden will be best buddies growing up together.

Daniel is 18 months old today!

Well, we had Daniel's 18 month check-up today and he is doing great! He of course had to flirt with the receptionist and a 2 1/2 year old girl before we got into the exam room.

Daniel weighs 23.5 lbs and is 31 1/2 inches tall (both 25%). He is hitting all his developmental milestones and the doctor even got to hear him talk and see him run around the room (we were in the Super Heroes Room).

So now I just need to end the bottle of milk at night and end the binkie used for sleeping. This will be an interesting couple of weeks for me! I am told that cold turkey is the way to go, but I can only handle ending one at a time :)

We are off to Dulles Town Center for a train ride later this afternoon!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Daniel got a airplane for Valentine's Day since he LOVES AIRPLANES just like his DADDY (yes, he can say airplane). It plays songs and has lots of takeoff and propeller noises so Daniel was rocking on his new toy and having a blast.

And yes for those of you who commented on our Christmas Tree - we still have it up!!! Hopefully it will be gone by Easter.

Daniel loves his Aqua Doodle so much . . . He can sit on it and draw at the same time!

Let's Go Out To Play!!

Daniel was so happy to go out and play today in the nice weather! (Trying to stay entertained all winter is hard in the cold weather.) He especially liked playing basketball with Daddy and some older boys.

Yes, it was almost 40 degrees warmer than yesterday :-)


Daniel managed to say "football" for the first time on 1/31 and Michael is still talking about it.

Daniel Has a New Cousin!

We are very excited to have Hayden Scott join our family! Michael's sister, Valerie, and brother-in-law, Eric, welcomed their bundle of joy on Jan. 14th. I held my nephew for the first time yesterday and he is such a sweet baby. Daniel has not had the opportunity to meet him yet, but I know that he is going to love having a cousin.
