"So Big"

Daniel is really putting a lot of weight on his feet and he is very strong when kicking and rolling over! Here he is showing off with Daddy.

Getting Ready for the Super Bowl

So Daniel is wearing his football outfit and practicing for the Super Bowl. After all, the game is only 4 days away! Daniel is still deciding who he wants to cheer for since the Ravens and the Cowboys are not in the game.

"Worth the Wait"

Daniel received the cutest onesie from a close colleague of mine. It says "I was worth the wait". Little did we know 5 months ago today when our profile went out to a birth mother that we would be matched with our precious angel! I can honestly tell you that he was more than worth the wait. Every day we thank God that he has blessed us with Daniel and we thank his birth mother for selecting us to be Daniel's parents.

For our friends and family who are still on their own journeys we think of you and pray for you every night! We know you are waiting and we remember how hard it can be. May you be blessed with the child who is meant to be in your lives!

Visit and Party with Friends

We were thrilled to have Cathie, Bobby and Nicole (our goddaughter) visit us this evening! Nicole came for a "party" at our house. Nicole is so sweet and she was adorable with Daniel. We had a delicious peanut butter-chocolate cake for dessert. Daniel really want some cake but all he got today were carrots and formula. It was a very fun evening all around.

First Veggies for Daniel

Well Daniel had is first vegetables today - carrots! He seemed to like them even if a lot ended up on his bib. The high chair definitely works great and he even posed with Daddy before the feeding. Of course we had to take a few pictures of the aftermath.

New Toys!

Daniel here - Well Mommy finally got my new toys out! I do not know why she was waiting until I turned 6 months old for these toys. The train is a lot of fun with lights and sounds - i love to knock off the top block every time! Plus I love playing with my stacking cups and ball. Mommy tried to get a picture before I knocked the ball off - why else is it there? Plus the cups are great to chew on.

I kept Daddy up until midnight last night. I love staying up late when I get a chance. Plus Mommy and Daddy still have the Christmas tree up so I keep pulling the branches to knock off the ornaments. There is also this great looking highchair that Uncle Scott and Aunt Erica gave me that I get to use - it looks like it is from outer space - very cool!
