Visiting Nicholas, Claire and James

We went to visit Nicholas, Claire and James today. It is amazing to think that Claire and James are already one! Nicholas is definitely a wonderful big brother. He took Daniel's hand and showed him everything in the back yard - very sweet.

Christy and I headed to the spa while Greg and Michael played with all 4 kids. Daniel enjoyed the dogs and the swings of course. I love seeing all the Gladney kids together.

First Visit to National Zoo

Daniel had a blast at his first visit to the zoo with Marsha and John joining us. Daniel kept saying "Please Mama" because he wanted to pet the lions and tigers. He really could not understand why they were in cages. Daniel also kept saying "More" because he wanted to see more animals every where we went. The elephant was pretty funny b/c he was taking a bath/swimming when we went to visit. I believe that Daniel wanted to join him in the "pool". Daniel had ketchup, mustard and mayo for lunch b/c he was tired and that was all he would eat.

We had a great Father's Day! Michael and Daniel played together all morning while I made Michael's favorite buttermilk cake. We went to Nana and Grandpa's for Father's Day dinner. Daniel loved his corn on the cob and playing with his new plane. Plus we had a fun visit with our nephew - Hayden and Valerie and Eric.

When we were putting Daniel to sleep, he starting singing "Bye, Bye Baby" which is a song that Michael always sings to him! Plus he was also counting out loud - a good delay tactic to impress Mommy and Daddy and get to stay up late.
