Monday afternoon Holly's folks (Pop-Pop and Gram) arrived from Florida! They brought gifts for their special grandson - nautical-themed outfits, a very cute picture frame, and an adorable stuffed dog toy that not only is as big as he is, but is - of course - a wire-hair fox terrier!! Daniel is very excited about his toy doggy, and he looks forward to meeting his grandparents' REAL wire-hair fox terrier, Kirby.
Of course, picture-taking ensued almost as soon as Holly's folks were through the front door. Gram loved holding him, as did Pop-Pop once he got the chance. Daniel even got fed by Gram!
Pop-Pop and Mike went out to pickup Chinese food, and we all ate at the table with Daniel looking on from his chair on the floor between Michael and Holly. Daniel liked the Sesame Beef and the Almond Chicken ;-)
This morning, Mike got up early to spell Holly, but since Daniel slept for 6 hours (broken up by a 3 am bottle), Holly wasn't that tired. But she let Michael spell her anyway, and he got to do his 1st morning feeding. Daddy and Mommy sang to Daniel - he really seemed to like our version of Copacabana. After Mike and Pop-Pop ran errands and Daniel got some time with Gram, we all went for a walk, since it was so nice outside. Daniel, looking quite spiffy in a striped onesy, jean-jacket, and jeans, was a real trooper in his snap-and-go stroller. We took a 40 minute walk, and he didn't even fuss until the last 7 or 8 minutes.
After lunch (Chinese leftovers), Holly read to Daniel, and then Daddy and Pop-Pop assembled Daniel's electric swing-chair (no batteries required - it plugs in!)
Daniel, who must have been a bit tired after walking 1 1/2 miles, slept most of the afternoon. Tonight, Gram is making a baked shrimp dish for dinner! Daniel is looking forward to sinking his teeth... OK, gums... into some of that delicious... formula.
