Daniel enjoying his chocolate airplane cake - he loves icing.
Mommy and Daniel making a wish as everyone sang Happy Birthday to Daniel. As you can see we had an airplane theme b/c Daniel's favorite things in the whole world are airplanes.
Mommy wore Daniel's party had for him!
Daniel eating his pizza and Mommy's pizza = a hungry boy after all that running around in the gym.
Nana and Daniel checking out the very special airplane cake!
The air track was a very big hit with all the kids. There was lots of jumping and a few collisions. 20 toddlers create quite a bit of chaos.
Bubbles are always a blast at Little Gym. Daniel tries to pop all the bubbles he can find and sometimes even eats them. A few managed to land on his head.
Cousin Hayden (or baby Hayden as Daniel calls him) and Aunt Valerie having fun at he party.
Daniel on a roll (literally)
The kids took a ride on the parachute while the parents moved them around the gym.
Daniel figures out that this Little Gym party was for him b/c he had a very special seat/throne.
Daniel and cousin Will hanging on the bars and showing that they are big boys now.
Nicholas is Daniel's buddy from school
Alex is quite good at the rings (not so sure about Greg though???)
Cousin Jason looks like he is ready to rumble!
Robyn is cute as ever on the balance beam.
Will is so strong
Brandon and Tyler showing their Dad how it is done
Michael helping Daniel on the balance beam
We had such wonderful cakes from Amphora Bakery! Daniel had three pieces of cake b/c he loves icing.
WOW is all I can say to describe this amazing 3D airplane cake. We used American Airlines for the cake model b/c that is what we flew on when we brought Daniel home from Texas 2 years ago. Plus the cake has the logo DLF0002 for Daniel's initials and 2nd birthday! Daniel kept saying airplane when he saw the cake.
Overall the party was a big success and all the kids had tons of fun. Daniel was so happy to be jumping around at the little gym with his friends. I was pretty proud of myself for managing to pull off this party on crutches with a broken ankle! Thanks to all our friends and family for making Daniel's Second Birthday so special.
Earlier in the day Daniel got this kitchen for his birthday from Mommy and Daddy. He really liked the talking kitchen and all his play food (which he tried to eat of course). Pop-pop helped him make some scrambled eggs and bake a cake.
