At Home with Daddy

Daniel and I were very happy that Michael came home from the hospital after ten days! Daniel and Daddy went outside to play and so that Daniel could show off for Daddy (b/c he can go up and down the slide by himself). They also looked at airplanes together :)

Daniel In Command of His Slide

Daniel has mastered his slide! He can climb up and go down all by himself (which he also wants to do on the big slide at the playground and is very bummed when I follow him around).

Debbie and Joe were kind enough to come over and babysit today. Unfortunately Daniel was a little cranky in the beginning; my theories on this are 1) teething - back molars 2) allergies - which cannot be tested for until age 2 or 3) Daniel is just tired of Mommy and Daddy not being around a lot the last three weeks.

When I got home from visiting Michael in the hospital, Debbie, Joe and Daniel were all out back having lots of fun. Joe made Daniel's car go faster than anyone else so Daniel had a big smile on his face as the wind was rushing through his hair. Thanks Debbie and Joe!

Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus

Michael, Gram and I headed to the Verizon Center for the Circus!!!! When we arrived you could go down on the floor and meet the circus performers. Daniel especially liked all the stunts with dogs and the dancing clowns. Plus we bought him a light saber and another toy with spinning lights.

We had the privilege of sitting in my company's suite/box which was lovely. Daniel had a front row seat with the rest of my colleagues and their children. We had great food and space for Daniel to run around. When the circus started Daniel was fascinated by the elephants and the tigers. He also enjoyed acrobats who jumped around in large balls (ball being one of his favorite words).

It was a great day with Gram and Daniel. Daniel almost made it the whole way through the performance (he fell asleep on my during the last 1/2 hour). And he only through his binky and sippy cup over the edge once :)

Unfortunately, Michael had to miss it b/c he is still recovering from his surgery. So Michael's parents came down for the day to take care of him.

Daniel is our lucky charm!







Gram and Daniel are having a great time this week. Thank goodness that Gram has been here to take care of Daniel while Michael had his surgery/recovery. Daniel has been a total angel for Gram.

Airplanes and Hampers

Yes, apparently you can eat yogurt with your fingers!!


Daniel has discovered that he can play hide and seek with the hamper. And it is even better when Mommy swings him around in the hamper.

Spring Time

It was snowing on Monday, but today it was 70 degrees! Daniel was so happy to get outside to the playground. Perhaps this is definitely Spring Time - somehow daylight savings seems very early this year.

Wacky Wear Day

Wednesday was Wacky Wear Day at school in celebration of the birthday of Dr. Suess. Daniel did have his shirt inside out when I dropped him off, but when I picked him up he had a whole new hairdo!
