Daniel Wishes You a Happy Halloween

Daniel wanted to wish all of you a Happy Halloween. He is bummed that he cannot eat any candy tomorrow but he is looking forward to all the visitors!

More Baby Showers for Daniel

We were honored to have 2 more baby showers for Daniel - we are very blessed with the outpouring for our little angel.

On Saturday, Betty and the rest of the APNC (Associate Pastor Nominating Committee from Trinity Presbyterian Church) had a baby shower for Daniel. Michael was on this committee which resulted in Pastor Becca joining our church. Daniel had a great time being held by the ladies and Betty made great food for all of us. It was such a nice afternoon with everyone and Daniel even received a blanket that has the Ravens logo and VT colors (see picture).

On Monday, Holly's HR Team from Deltek hosted a wonderful baby shower for Daniel. You can see the beautiful cake in the attached picture! I am so glad that everyone on my team was able to meet Daniel, and I am honored to have such a thoughtful and amazing team. Daniel enjoyed being held and meeting the folks at Deltek.

Daniel's First Halloween

Holly here - Jane, Greg and Alex hosted a great Halloween Party today! There were lots of kids there with a costume parade/contest as well as Pumpkin Carving (Michael carved our Pumpkin).

I dressed Daniel up as a pumpkin (which seemed to be the popular costume for all the babies) and he was adorable. So I went out on a limb and bought myself a ladybug costume from an online site. You might ask why a ladybug - well in Daniel's playard the ladybug is his favorite animal b/c she beeps. And Michael dressed up as a WWII Aviator - - I think Daniel really got us in the spirit for Halloween.

Alex was adorable as a duck and we were happy to see Debbie and Joe who brought their friend, Jensen as Tinkerbell. Alex and Jensen enjoyed playing with baby Daniel. We also caught up with Rachel, Joe and Jennifer who is cute as ever. John showed up as the devil and he was great - Heather and Mark picked a super costume for their active boy.

As usual, Jane had great food and desserts for the kids (young and old). Apparently New England slaughtered the Redskins which made Michael pretty happy.

It was a really fun party and Daniel was so good the whole time. He enjoyed being held by lots of friends. Next year should be really interesting when he is running around!

Playdate and Game Day

As of this post VA Tech is ahead of Boston College 7 - 0!!

Holly here - Daniel and I headed over to Christy and Greg's for a playdate with Nicholas today! Nicholas has great toys and Daniel liked being held by Greg and Christy as well. I am sure Daniel and Nicholas will have fun in the future on the big swings and slide.

Tonight VA Tech is playing Boston College - a very big game. So both of my boys are dressed up in their VA Tech clothes/PJs! Yes, Michael's friends are at the game in the rain.

Our precious Daniel is 10 weeks old today which means he has been with us for 6 weeks! We cannot wait for his first Halloween.

Practice for Halloween

Holly here - Uncle Juan and Aunt Kari gave us the cutest "Little Pumpkin" shirt, hat and socks so I decided today was a great day to practice for Halloween. Daniel had no idea of course - he just thought it was more play time with Mommy. For the first time he wore a hat and it did not seem to phase him at all. So you all get to see tons of pictures of Daniel in his cute outfit.

When we were doing tummy time he rolled over again and was very happy with himself. With a little help from Mommy, Daniel is able to grab the Lion on his Gymini. The lion is definitely his favorite so far and I still think he is going to be a Lefty!

Plus I included a picture where you can see Daniel showing off his big tummy! He is definitely a healthy boy.

Gladney Event in Alexandria

Holly here - we attended a local Gladney Family Association event in Alexandria. Jane and Greg were there with Alex and we met other Gladney families with their kids. Stacey was happy to meet Daniel who was the youngest baby there! Plus we dressed him up in his Texas outfit for the occasion.

Daniel Attends Kiran's 4th Birthday Party

Holly here - Ram and Ramona invited us to Kiran's 4th Birthday Party and we were thrilled to attend with Daniel. We were able to catch up with other folks from our adoption support and their amazing kids as well. You will see pictures of Donna with Ryan and Caitlyn, Margaret with Nora and Susan and Barry with Maia! Kiran was full of spunk and all the kids had a great time. Daniel even went down a slide with Michael and got to wear a birthday hat!
